Sandy works part time every 3rd weekend. She loves working in such idyllic surroundings as the Dandenong Ranges. Sandy actually works full time as an analyst manager for a data collection company during the week but keeps her hand in with veterinary science at DRVC. She has a horse which takes up a lot of her spare time and she enjoys playing competitive soccer & mountain bike riding. Sandy will often ride all the way from her home in Wantirna to work in Olinda!
Moss is the principal Veterinary Surgeon at Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre. He grew up in Nth Qld (Mackay) and graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991. Moss began his career employed in a small beef cattle and mining town in Central Queensland (Moura). He has spent time travelling and working with large and small animals in a variety of different practices in the UK & Australia.
Moss opened Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 1999 after moving to Melbourne in 1997 and has since worked hard to grow the business into the wonderful Veterinary practice that it is today. Moss has two children, Oliver and Sophia. He also has a rabbit named Liquorice & a guinea pig named Speedy.
Samantha started her veterinary career as a new graduate with Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre (DRVC) in 2003. After a couple of years Sam travelled abroad & worked in the UK then in 2010 she returned to work at DRVC after marrying partner Nigel (also a vet). Sam has been on maternity leave since April 2011 when she had her first child - a daughter named India. Sam is planning to commence work again in November 2011. She has a maltese/JRT x dog named Nacho.
Elissa has been working with Moss since the opening of Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 1999! She lives on a property in Wandin and enjoys spending her spare time horse riding and caring for her array of pets. She has started breeding her Irish Sports mare. Elissa has 2 children named Aliyah & Ethan & her husband Ajay is a farrier.
Liisa is currently studying a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing after completing her Certificate IV qualification in 2009. At the completionof her Certificate IV course Liisa was awarded for "Excellence in Customer Service". Anyone who has spoken to Liisa at the front reception of the surgery will know why! In addition to working as a vet nurse and studying, she is also employed regularly to house-sit and walk dogs in her spare time! Liisa helps to run our weekly puppy pre-school classes. She has an avid interest in horses, riding & equestrian competitions. Liisa has a Miniature Schnauzer named Lachlan.
Haylee started work at Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 2007 as a trainee but has recently completed her veterinary nursing qualifications. Haylee won "Trainee of the Year" at Box Hill TAFE for 2010 - 1 of only 8 major awards presented. Haylee also received an award for "Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Nursing" upon completion of her course. Haylee has an avid interest in horses & regularly competes in horse events & shows. She is currently building a house with her partner & she has a staffi dog named Diesel.
Kerry has over 30 years experience as a vet nurse & is one of the original veterinary nurses at Dandenong Ranges Vet Centre. She has an avid interest in agility & fly ball with her 2 border collie dogs Megs & Ryley. She is planning to breed with the dogs in the future when they have a break from dog shows. Kerry is very busy renovating her house at the moment. The job is made easier with the help from her 3 grown up boys (electrician, carpenter & plumber) & her husband Colin who is a builder.
Rhianne helps the veterinary nurses out after school a couple of days a week. She has a large collection of animals including Maggie the Australian bulldog, Snuggles the cat & numerous horses. Rhianne is passionate about riding horses & would like to be a high level dressage rider in the future.
Ashley is back at work after maternity leave to have her first baby - Eliza. Ashley has returned to Dandenong Ranges after a short stint in Brisbane working at a specialist veterinary centre. She has many furry kids including: Inch the cat, Hugo the mini foxy, Ivy the Bichon Frise x, Fern the cat & numerous guinea pigs.
