At times it can be medically beneficial for your pet to have a regulated diet. Examples of conditions where this may be indicated & the food type include:
- Kidney failure (k/d, reduced protein/phosphorus food)
- Liver disease or liver shunt (l/d food)
- Diabetes (w/d or m/d food)
- Weight control (r/d, w/d food)
- Gastro-intestinal disease (i/d, digestive support diet)
- Food allergy & allergic skin disease (z/d, response FP food)
- Bladder stones / calculi (lower urinary tract disease) (c/d-s, s/d, lower urinary tract support, low pH-s food)
- Arthritis / degenerative joint disease (j/d, Waltham joint support diet)
- Muscle wastage or debilitation (a/d, energy diet)
- Oral disease / tartar (t/d food)
We stock Hills, Eukanuba & Waltham brand prescription food. Since these are prescription only food they will need to be fed under the direct care of our vets.
