Dr Moss Siddle Veterinary surgeon / BVSc
Moss opened Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 1999 after moving to Melbourne in 1997 and has since worked hard to grow the business into the wonderful veterinary practice that it is today. His pet family includes a cat named Herod (the King!) and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog named Nala.
Moss is on the executive committee of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) Victorian division & is an active member of the Veterinary Business Group.
Moss has developed a pet care app suitable for smart phones named Vetcheck. It keeps all your pet's information together including vaccination history, age, weight (including a weight graph), reminders for health care & appointments as well as contacts. There's also some fun parts to the app including pet trivia, pet's age in human years equivalent as well as tips & comprehensive vet medical information.
Dr Christine Baker Veterinary surgeon / BVSc (Hons)
Christine joined our team at the start of 2017. She started her veterinary career working in Rockhampton, Qld after growing up in Brisbane. She lived and worked in Japan for 12 months prior to working at DRVC. Christine has a cat named Chitten and particularly enjoys veterinary medicine and challenging behaviour problems in dogs and cats.
Dr Mick Filkin Veterinary surgeon / BVSc (Hons)
Mick has worked locally for around 20 years. He is the proud owner of a 3 legged cat named Patrick. Mick loves surgery. In his spare time Mick likes to go hang gliding and speed roller blading!
Elissa Roberts Administration / Veterinary Nurse
Elissa has been working with Moss since the opening of Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 1999! She lives on a property in Wandin and enjoys spending her spare time horse riding and caring for her array of pets including Pippin the pug puppy. Elissa is the fantastic practice manager at DRVC.
Kerry McCashney Veterinary nurse
Kerry has over 30 years experience as a vet nurse & is one of the original veterinary nurses at Dandenong Ranges Vet Centre (started employment in 2000). She is our most experienced nurse & has a heavy influence on the running of DRVC. She has an avid interest in agility & fly ball with her 2 border collie dogs Megs & Ryley. She has bred her red Border Collie.
Kim Thomas Veterinary nurse / Cert IV (Vet Nursing)
Kim joined the DRVC team in November 2013 and has had over 10 years experience as a vet nurse. Kim is a part time surgical nurse but occasionally covers reception. She lives with her dogs in Montrose.
Melissa Plant Veterinary nurse / Certified
Mel started work at DRVC in October 2014. As well being a full time vet nurse at DRVC she is also a dental nurse (for people). Mel has a dog named Tilly (Staffi). Mel has worked voluntarily in the NT in indigenous communities to help improve the health of domestic dogs. Mel is our resident nutritional advisor.
Lisa Vickers Veterinary nurse
Lisa is currently studying Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. At home she has her dog Buddy, cat Coby & birds Chilli & Curtis. Lisa used to work as a hair dresser before starting her career in vet nursing. She is expecting her first child in 2019.
Natasha helps out our nurses every week. At home she has Charlie & Freddy the dogs & numerous chickens.
